Following a heated feud during the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, fans eagerly awaited their face-off in the World Cup. However, both Kohli and Naveen chose to bury the hatchet, showcasing a friendly exchange and embracing each other as they put an end to their previous discord.
Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli reconciled their conflicts during the India vs Afghanistan match in the ICC World Cup 2023 held in Delhi. The discord had initially surfaced in a heated exchange between them during a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League 2023.
When it comes to this matter, Naveen stepped up to share the conversation he had with Kohli during the India-Afghanistan match:
“We got support in every game apart from that one game against India. Rather than that, we got a home kind of feeling; he told me, ‘Let’s finish it.’ I said, Yeah, let’s finish it. We laughed about it, hugged, and moved on. He also said that after this, you won’t hear my name. You will only hear support from the crowd,” Naveen-ul-Haq told Lucknow Super Giants.
